Names of the keys

Welcome to Lesson 1. In this lesson we'll learn the 12 names of the piano keys. Let's get started.

You just played Middle C.

Middle C is the center note of every piano.

An easy way to find it? Use the black keys.
They come in groups of 2's and 3's.

Look for the group of 2 black keys in the middle of the piano.
Middle C is just to the left.

Now that we know Middle C, finding the other keys is as easy as reciting the alphabet.

Piano keys are named using the letters A through G, over and over.
